JJ and Yehuda will be first-time parents in just less than a month, and I couldn't be more excited for them! We captured these beauties at White Rock Lake in what was probably my quickest shoot ever. This Texas summer heat and being 8 months pregnant is not an ideal mix, but I do have to say, JJ's maternity style is perfection!

Talk about coming full circle... I was lucky enough to photograph Lacy and Jerry's engagement session in 2011, and now I feel even more honored that they asked me to document Lacy's maternity! :)
Before we wrapped up the session, I was able to capture a few shots of the adorable nursery that Lacy decorated for Miss Cameron. She is expected sometime this month and I can't wait to meet her! I fall in love, again and again, at each and every newborn session. I mean, how can you not? There is something so beautiful about being around a family that has just welcomed their newest family member. This session was a little different than most, however, as I had been anticipating Miss Hadley's arrival for quite some time. Camping out at the hospital for hours right alongside the rest of her family and getting to be one of the very first people to welcome her to the world was such a special experience! Even better than that was watching one of my very best friends become a Mother for the first time You can keep up with Miss Hadley on her Mom's blog, Growing Up Guinn!
Hani and Naor are my sweet friends from Israel and I was so excited when they asked me to capture newborn photos of their beautiful baby girl, Romi. Here are just few highlights from our session.
We did Wyatt's Senior portrait session last month at one of my favorite spots, the Bath House Cultural Center at White Rock Lake. He will be attending Kansas State in the fall and it took every ounce of my being to not give him a big "Boomer Sooner!" ;)
In April I was lucky enough to get to attend Jana Williams first photography workshop at Edge Studio in LA. Jana is a Los Angeles based wedding photographer that I have admired for some time now. She is such an inspiration as a photographer and had some major insight on an industry that I am slowly but surely getting familiar with. Below are some of the images I captured with our bride and groom as well as some behind the scenes shots.
Also see my post, #ThePinkBug for more images from the workshop |
